Presence

Dear Jesus, today I call on You in a special way. Mostly I come asking for favours. Today I’d like just to be in Your presence. Let my heart respond to Your Love.

Freedom

I ask for the grace to believe
in what I could be and do
if I only allowed God, my loving Creator,
to continue to create me, guide me and shape me.

Consciousness

My soul longs for Your presence, Lord. When I turn my thoughts to You, I find peace and contentment.

The Word of God

¹⁸“If the world hates you, be aware that it hated me before it hated you. ¹⁹If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. Because you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. ²⁰Remember the word that I said to you, ‘Slaves are not greater than their master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also. ²¹But they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.

Inspiration

If the world loves and praises you, be very much on your guard because the world does not see as God sees. It is both fickle and false and not particularly interested in the truth. From the beginning of Christianity, the world has persecuted Christ and all who belong to him because they live by different values. We are called to help make it a different world and to grow God’s kingdom on earth.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
