Acts 18:1-3 NRSVue
1After this Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. 2There he found a Jew named Aquila from Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all Jews to leave Rome. Paul went to see them, 3and, because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them, and they worked together—by trade they were tentmakers.

Further reflection
/Paul stayed with them and they worked, for by trade they were tentmakers./ Paul comments more than once that he earned his keep, that he was a skilled tradesman, and did not seek to use preaching or praying as an excuse for idle hands.
Lord, I do not want to be one of those beautiful souls who never get their nails dirty. Work is part of our human calling. Even when it is drudgery, and I am weary or bored, I know it puts me in touch with the great mass of the human race.
