Presence

At any time of the day or night, we can call on Jesus.
He is always waiting, listening for our call.
What a wonderful blessing.
No phone needed, no e-mails, just a whisper.

Freedom

Lord, guide me always
to do Your holy will,
knowing that Your strength
will carry me through.

Consciousness

Help me, Lord, to be more conscious of Your presence.
Teach me to recognise Your presence in others.
Fill my heart with gratitude for the times Your Love has been shown to me through the care of others.

The Word of God

⁹As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you; abide in my love. ¹⁰If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. ¹¹I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

Inspiration

Jesus Christ, yesterday, today, the same forever! That Jesus loves us with the same infinite love that his Father had for him should be a source of great joy and hope for us. We were made for joy, and too often in the past, our religion became a killjoy. Jesus found all of his joy in his Father, and he wants us to share this joy with him. Teilhard de Chardin SJ wrote, ‘Joy is an infallible sign of the presence of God.’ Where do we find our joy, and what blocks us from it?

Conversation

Lord, You have engraved my name
on the palm of Your hand.
Even if others forget me,
You never will.

Conclusion

Filled with the loving presence of God,
I ask Him to bless me and guide my steps
as I go to do His work in my daily life.
