Tuesday 8 July
Presence
Every moment is alive with the glorious presence of God. As I give myself more and more to intimate communion with the One who created me, I find that I simply have no time to worry.
Freedom
Lord, You created me to live in freedom. May Your Holy Spirit guide me to follow You freely. Instil in my heart a desire to know and love You more each day.
Consciousness
Conscious of Your presence, Lord,
I look over my recent past.
Let me be honest with myself about how I’ve been
and what I’ve done,
because I know You love truth in the heart
and accept me just as I am.
The Word of God
Matthew 9:32-37 NRSVue32After they had gone away, a demon-possessed man who was mute was brought to him. 33And when the demon had been cast out, the one who had been mute spoke, and the crowds were amazed and said, “Never has anything like this been seen in Israel.” 34But the Pharisees were saying, “By the ruler of the demons he casts out the demons.”

Inspiration
This is a picture of Jesus in the full flow of his ministry as he gave himself for others. In his compassion, he could see their great need for a shepherd. More than ever, our world needs shepherds who will give a witness to the unseen reality of God. Let us pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
Conversation
What feelings are rising in me as I pray and reflect on God’s Word?
I imagine Jesus Himself sitting or standing near me and I open my heart to Him.
Conclusion
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
Amen
