Pause
In the midst of this storm, I turn to you, God, for help. I call on your mercy- calm my body and send me your peace. I call on your love – quiet my spirit and make your presence known. Let me hear your voice and feel your touch. Be with me now in my hour of need.
Ask
God, our waymaker, I am stuck, and I need your help. The path before me is full of obstacles that I cannot overcome on my own. Clear the way for me so I may pass through this trial. Send me your help.
Listen
Jesus, you are the one whom even the winds and the waves obey (Matthew 8:27). In my time of trouble, I turn to you for strength and peace. With your love and mercy, calm the waters that rage around me. I wait upon your word.

Like the disciples on the boat, sometimes I wonder if you can see that I’m drowning. Remind me of the ways you have helped me, both as a child and up to now. Increase my faith and trust that you will not leave me as an orphan, but you will send me your help.
Reflect
God, my strength and peace, even when I did not know it, you have helped me before. Calm the storm that surrounds me and make straight the path you have set before me so that I may step forward in faith.
