Pause
Lord, I come to you with hands open, unsure of what to say or how to say it. My heart says to you, ‘Seek his face.’ Your face, Lord, I will seek (Psalm 27:8). Spirit, be with me when I do not know how to talk to God.
Ask
Spirit, help me in my weakness, for I do not know how to pray as I ought. Intercede for me, communicate my heart even when all I have are sighs too deep for words (Romans 8:26)
Listen
God, you call to me, you sing to me so I can approach your throne with confidence and so I will receive mercy and find grace in my time of need (Hebrews 4:16). I answer your call, Lord.

You tell me that you are near to all who call on you (Psalm 145:18). Be close to me now, hear the voice of my heart, turn your face towards me.
Reflect
Spirit, speak for my soul. My Lord, you promised to answer my call (Jeremiah 33:3), to listen to me like a trusted friend. I will trust in this love, even when my words are few; I will rest in the glow of God’s face turned towards me.
