Pause
God of light and truth, evil swirls and sneaks around me. I seek refuge under your wings, for you are my stronghold and shield (Psalm 91:4). Calm my heart and deepen my breath as I ask for your protection against evil.
Ask
You are strong and mighty, God. You see the evil in the world, and it grieves you. Send down your spirit to dispel the fears and lies that surround me. Change the hearts of those who cheat for their own gain. Liberate me from the grip of the enemy.
Listen
Jesus, you said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). Strengthen in me a desire to know you and do your will. Lead me not into temptation (Matthew 6:13), but protect my mind, body, and spirit from evil ways so I may rest in your goodness now and forever.

When I feel alone, overwhelmed, or afraid, make your presence known to me, God. You have the power to protect and save us from the forces of evil in the world. Defeat our enemies and bind up our wounds. May your peace and justice reign.
Reflect
You are with me always, even until the end of time (Matthew 28:20). Your presence fills me with comfort and surrounds me with peace. Under your protection, I can continue the work of this day. Safe in your care, I will find rest.
