Pause
God, my protector and strength, I run to you in times of difficulty. Be with me now. When I breathe in, surround me with your love. When I breathe out, fill me with your goodness. Show me that I am not alone.
Ask
I need strength and courage in this difficult time. God, give me patience to endure it well. Give me wisdom to navigate it as it ebbs and flows. Give me the grace to trust that you are with me through it all.
Listen
Unite my prayer to that of the Psalmist who says: “Incline your ear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Preserve my life, for I am devoted to you; save your servant who trusts in you. You are my God; be gracious to me, O Lord, for to you do I cry all day long.” (Psalm 86:1-3)

In this difficult time, I find my heart is full of worry, jealousy, and anger. I offer it all to you, God. Refresh my heart with faith, peace, and charity. Give me strength and courage for the road ahead. Most of all, please do not leave my side.
Reflect
As I walk through this valley, I know that I am not alone. Hold me close to your heart as I seek your peace on the other side of this difficult time. With courage and trust, I pray that “I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). Amen.
