Pause
Giver of all good gifts (James 1:17), I am in awe of your generosity. You have heard me and answered my prayer. I come to you to offer my deepest thanksgiving.
Ask
I praise you for your goodness, for your providence and mercy. For your kindness and compassion. For the wisdom of your many blessings. For the infinite, tiny ways you should show me your love. For the gift that has led me to this prayer today.
Listen
Let me pause and remember this truth: without you, I have nothing. Because of you, I have life. Every day you work miracles for me, both big and small.
Share
Your generosity inspires me to be generous with others. As I offer you this prayer of thanksgiving, others are hungry, lonely, worried, and afraid. Send me to be a light to them, to share a sign of your goodness and providence in my words and actions.
Reflect
I know that life is not always joyful. The next time I am struggling, please remind me of this moment. May I never forget your love and care for me so that I can make my entire life a prayer of thanksgiving. Amen.
