2nd Sunday of Lent
Lord, thank you for being my companion on life’s journey, each day, and in each moment, including this one. Help me to tune in to your presence now…
Galatians 6:9
9 So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.
Doing what’s right isn’t always easy. It can take longer, cost more, and require more energy. When others around us are cutting corners, doing things in half the time, and seemingly progressing, it’s tempting to give in. But to give up on right? That’s wrong. Some of us have friends, family, colleagues, who walk with us, cheering us on, helping us stay the course. Some of us have friends, family, colleagues who want us to stray. To take that quick win. But each of us has a cheerleader, someone who believes in us, someone who is with us each step of the way. He is there for us 24/7, 365 days a year, ready to energise us when we grow weary. We simply need to talk to him.
Dear God, when I’m tempted to give up or give in, to take the low road instead of the high road, show me the way to you, sure in the knowledge that I will reap my reward. Help me to live my faith. Amen.
