3rd Sunday of Lent
Lord, thank you for being my companion on life’s journey, each day, and in each moment, including this one. Help me to tune in to your presence now…
Proverbs 12:11
11 Those who till their land will have plenty of food, but those who follow worthless pursuits have no sense.
With age comes responsibility. There comes a time in life when we need to get serious. Some of us reach this stage sooner than others. Some of us never get there at all. Work. Diligence. Focus. All are required if we are to earn what we need to live and to give. Some struggle, even though they work hard, are diligent, and focused. Others seem to have it all, even though they don’t appear to take life seriously. Yet rewards come in many forms. And appearances can be deceiving. What is important is that we make the most of the talents God has given us.
Dear God, if I work too hard, help me make space for family and friends. If I play too hard, help me to be more diligent. In all things let me find balance. Help me to live my faith. Amen.
