Easter Sunday
Lord, thank you for being my companion on life’s journey, each day, and in each moment, including this one. Help me to tune in to your presence now…
Isaiah 43:18-19
18 Do not remember the former things or consider the things of old. 19 I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth; do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
It is never too late to start over. To begin again. To change what we’re doing. And there is no better time to change than today. If you’re unhappy with how you’re living your life, resolve to change. If you’re not praying enough, pray more. If you’re too busy for God, make time for him. As the meme goes, today is the first day of the rest of your life. Learn from the past and move on. Today, do that new thing. Take change. Resolve to be a better Christian. Resolve to live your faith.
Dear God, help me live my faith. Amen.
Thank you for praying this Lenten retreat with us. We hope you continue to live your faith in your daily life. By implementing small changes in your attitude, by doing small acts with great kindness, by being more aware of your place in the world, your faith will live through you. God’s message is steady, yet our lives shift; that’s why the same passage can sound like a new conversation. What you need to hear today may not be the same as what you need to hear tomorrow. God knows. Only God knows.
A Happy and Blessed Easter to you all. Christ is Risen! Alleluia!
