Lord, thank you for being my companion on life’s journey, each day, and in each moment, including this one. Help me to tune in to your presence now…

2 Corinthians 4:8-10

We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; ⁹ persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— ¹⁰ always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

Reflection

Life is full of examples of those who failed – and failed again. And again. And then succeeded. They persevered. They got up each time they were knocked down.  They had faith. As Christians, we have God in our corner. He is there for us no matter how desperate we are, no matter how much we despair, no matter how often we fall. When we know this in our mind and believe it in our hearts, then all will be right with our world.

Closing prayer

Dear God, give me the words to talk to myself as you talk to me. Let me encourage myself knowing that you have my back. Help me live my faith.  Amen.
