Philippians 2:3-4

³ Do nothing from selfish ambition or empty conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. ⁴ Let each of you look not to your own interests but to the interests of others.

Reflection

How much better our world would be if everyone wanted what was best, not for themselves but for each other.  How great it would be if we swapped self-interest for an others-first mindset. If my happiness was more important to you than yours, and your happiness was more important to me than mine, what would our relationship look like?

Dear God, let me not look to my own interests, but to the interests of others. Help me live my faith.  Amen.
