Apostleship of Prayer

Each month the Pope entrusts a prayer intention to his Worldwide Prayer Network, the Apostleship of Prayer. These intentions, which express the Pope’s concern for humanity and the mission of the Church, are made available along with a morning and evening prayer. Let’s join many others around the world and pray with the Pope.

We pray that those who risk their lives for the Gospel in various parts of the world inflame the Church with their courage and missionary enthusiasm.

Morning Prayer

May I spend this day in faith that you are with me in joy, and sorrow, love and friendship, prayer and good works. Lead me in the path of your love and your truth this day, and I pray particularly for the Pope’s concern this month – that those who risk their lives for the Gospel in various parts of the world inflame the Church with their courage and missionary enthusiasm.
Amen.

Evening Prayer

Lord I know that your word says, this is the day that the Lord has made. Thank you for this day, and I ask your help for any concerns of mine and of the people I met this day. Forgive me with your compassion for faults and sins. May my rest this night prepare me well for another day, offered in your love for your people.
Amen.
