Pope’s Intention August 2023

We pray that World Youth Day in Lisbon will help young people to live and witness to the Gospel in their own lives.

Morning Prayer

Lord, as I begin this day, I offer myself to you. Help me to be aware of your presence in all that I do and to see your love in every person I meet. Guide me in my thoughts, words and actions, so that I may serve you with humility and kindness. May I find joy in all that comes my way and patience in difficult times. May I seek always to grow closer to you. I pray especially for the Pope’s intention. Amen

Night Prayer

Protect us, Lord, as we stay awake and watch over us as we sleep; that awake, we may keep watch with Christ, and asleep, rest in his peace.
Thank you for our home and a place to sleep and good food to eat. Help us rest well, give us peaceful dreams and send your angels around our home to protect us throughout the night.
Teach us to trust you and to love you more and more. You are good; you are great; and you are faithful, God.
