Some thoughts on this scripture

Reflection
The shepherds might seem to be the least likely people to be the first with the news yet here they are – bringing good news that would change the world! I may think of myself as an unlikely herald of the gospel message. I remind myself that it is not about my worthiness, but I am asked to speak the truth as I know it.

Reflection
Although there is much to talk about, Mary ponders in her heart. I consider what this means for me, how I might reflect and turn over in my heart things that cause wonder. I ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten me, to lead me to wisdom and light.
