Mark 1:29-31 NRSVue
29As soon as they left the synagogue, they entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30Now Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they told him about her at once. 31He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up. Then the fever left her, and she began to serve them.

Some thoughts on this scripture
Reflection
Jesus liked physical contact. He lifted the sick woman by the hand. He put
his fingers into the ears of the deaf mute, and touched his tongue with
spittle. He handled lepers. Jairus begged him: /Lay your hand on my daughter
to make her better./
Reflection
Lord, let me not fear to touch, to bless and to come close to others as you
did.
