Some thoughts on this scripture

Reflection
Where a country is run badly, the gap between rich and poor grows wider and wider, and Jesus' words reflect an economic reality. They are also true spiritually and intellectually. If you open yourself in faith and hope to God's revelation of his plan of salvation, you can make rapid progress in understanding it. If you close yourself to it, you can lose the offer.

Reflection
Lord, may I respond when you offer me grace. And may I always work to undo that maxim of economics; may I be more generous to those who have nothing, than to those who already have enough.
