Finding God in All Things
Today, in our diverse world, we all come to faith from different places and from different backgrounds. Faith in Christ is sort of like the great equaliser. Prayer is one of the spiritual disciplines we all have to learn. We can ask several questions about prayer: How do you say a prayer? What is a personal prayer? How can I grow my prayer life?
Finding God in all things is integral to the Ignatian worldview. ‘The world is charged with the grandeur of God’ (Gerard Manley Hopkins). This God is present in our lives, ‘labouring for us’ in all things; he can be discovered, through faith, in all natural and human events, in history as a whole and, most especially, in the lived experience of each individual person.

We Remember At This Time…
In the face of unpredictable weather, we are reminded of the vulnerability of those without the comfort of a warm home. As we experience freezing cold temperatures, help us to remember those who are without shelter, those forced to flee their homes, and those who have lost everything in their journey, even their country.
We pray for all those in need: for refugees, the homeless, and anyone facing hardship. May we be open to your guidance, Lord, and recognize the times when we are called to act. Help us to see opportunities to assist those we might never have considered, and grant us the compassion and courage to offer whatever support we can.
May we always be aware of your nudges to make a difference in the lives of others, sharing warmth, kindness, and care where it’s needed most.
