We pray for all migrants this week as we remember Mary, heavily pregnant, and Joseph, her husband, journeying toward Bethlehem to fulfil the law and be registered in the town of Joseph’s ancestors. We imagine the journey was long, uncertain, and dangerous. Yet they trusted that you, God, knew the way and would guide them to where they were called to go.

Open our hearts, Lord, to welcome those you place in our path. May all who are homeless, displaced, or in need find safety, compassion, and a true home in you. Strengthen us to be instruments of your mercy and peace. Amen
