Lord, you have given us authority over the care of the earth, the seas, the skies, the land, and all living things. Forgive us for the harm we have done and the ways we have failed as stewards of your creation. Beginning now, on this International Earth Day, grant us wisdom to protect and restore our planet, acting with justice and compassion for all nations, rich and poor alike. Guide us to care for the earth with love and responsibility, so that its beauty may endure for generations to come. Amen.
