We welcome the longer, brighter days as we move into summer in the Northern Hemisphere. The month of May brings much-needed light to lift our spirits after the long, dark nights of winter and early spring. We notice new life is blossoming in our gardens and parks, and simple joys like squirrels darting up trees and foxes playing nearby.
May is the month we dedicate to Mary, our Mother. We sense her gentle presence, close to us, just as she was to her son, Jesus, while he was growing up.
Lord, grant us a deeper understanding of Mary’s loving care. We turn to her for comfort and allow her to guide us towards you, especially when we feel alone or in need of support.
