Mark 15:46-47 NRSVue
46Then Joseph bought a linen cloth and, taking down the body, wrapped it in the linen cloth and laid it in a tomb that had been hewn out of rock. He then rolled a stone against the door of the tomb. 47Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where the body was laid.

Reflection
This seems like an empty day. It is tempting to stoke an Easter joy and to begin to anticipate the feast to come. My faith invites me to stand and wait, witnessing to the reign of God which is within reach but not yet realised. I pray for all who await justice, I pray with those who endure in faith. I ask God to help me to remain alert, to notice what is coming to life that, there, I may discover God’s presence.
