As the College of Cardinals gathers in solemn prayer and discernment to elect a new Pope, let us unite our hearts in prayer for them. May they be guided by wisdom from above as they seek the one whom God has chosen to shepherd His Church.
We remember St. Peter, the first among the apostles to be entrusted with this sacred task. Though he was impetuous and flawed—denying Christ in His hour of need—he was also deeply faithful and ultimately became the rock upon which the Church was built. His journey reminds us that God does not always choose the perfect, but rather perfects those He chooses.
Let us not cling too tightly to our own ideas of what a Holy Father should be, but instead surrender to the mysterious and perfect will of God. May the Holy Spirit descend upon the Conclave with clarity, peace, and power, illuminating the hearts of the Cardinals and uniting them in divine purpose.
May this new successor of Peter be a true shepherd of souls—humble, courageous, and rooted in love—so that through his leadership, the Church may be renewed in faith and fervour.
