Prayers for Life

Compassionate God, I ask You for help. Knowing that You hear my cry, that You see my need. I come to You with empty hands, asking for the grace of Your love and the mercy of Your assistance.

I pray for a safe delivery. For both mother and child to feel enveloped and guided by your love through the tumult of childbirth. I pray for those who aid mother and child during this threshold moment.

I pray for the forgiveness of sins and for the clearing of all obstacles preventing union with you and your holy path. You receive me with tenderness.

I need strength and courage in this difficult time. God, give me patience to endure it well. Give me the grace to trust that you are with me through it all.

You are the giver of all good gifts (James 1:17). Today I humbly ask you for a financial blessing. Open my eyes to see a way forward from this difficult place.

Lord, You know how deeply I love my dog. I imagine carrying my beloved dog to You, both of us creatures, human and canine, reflecting Your light. I ask for the grace and mercy of Your healing for my sick dog.

Jesus, you heard the cries of those who sought you for healing. You met with those who begged for your intercession for their loved ones. Please hear me now. Surround the sick with care, alleviate any suffering or pain.

I pray to you with a repentant heart. I turn back from the ways of the world that are wrong. I confess my sins to you and humbly ask for forgiveness.

I remember Mary carrying You in her womb, Jesus, and I ask her to keep me holy company as I await the birth of my child. With every movement, let me be assured of Your kindness, God, Your loving attention to the little one within my womb.

I beg for your protection to cover all areas of conflict. I cry out for peace, for reconciliation, for justice. Enfold the innocent in the safety of your wings (Psalm 91). Heal the wounds of bodies, minds, and souls scarred by violence.
