God, protect me, deliver me, preserve my body and my soul (Psalm 127). Provide me with a shelter from the storms of this world, a fortress in which I can dwell in peace.
In this prayer for depression, I ask you to be the lamp unto my feet in this time of darkness that seems to go on and on. Show the way.
I pray for children: Bless the children under our care, who rely on us to grow and thrive. Bless the children we know by name, by face. The ones we will never know. The ones we long to hold, the ones we worry about, the ones who are gone. The children we long to have.
God of infinite love, I come to you with a heart full of humility and sorrow. You are kind and merciful, slow to anger and rich in compassion. Look on me with love as I pray for forgiveness.
I come to you asking for help. Alleviate the pressure I feel, aid me in carrying the weight of expectations and the heaviness of obligations. Grant me clarity to see what matters.
I ask for the grace of your peace and the gift of your wisdom for the journey ahead of me. Be my compass, God, leading me deeper into your love. I want so much to make the right decision.
Be with me, walk with me. Please stay with me, God, as I navigate this season of loss. Jesus, this loss is a wound. It is affecting me in ways that I recognize, and in ways that I do not yet know.
God of all, grant me peace that surpasses all understanding. Even when my heart is troubled, even when I am afraid – it is to you that I cling.
My God, I approach you for strength, not of this world but that which comes from you alone. Lord, I trust that you walk beside me; but my heart wavers.
Lord, I am reaching out for you in the midst of my pain. Draw near to me so I can feel your healing touch. Just one touch will be enough.
